Our lives were turned upside down November 2003 when after a surgery an unexpected complication affected my Ethan’s entire intestinal motility and practically shut things down. 2 years later he remains G tube dependent but still a smart, funny 4 year old who deserves and wants to live a typical 4 year old life.

In March 2005 a wonderful [ZEVEX] customer service representative, Elaine, helped me to get in touch with Alan [Dynamed] in regards to getting a ZEVEX [EnteraLite® Infinity™] pump for my son Ethan.

We live in Canada, and while we have a government program that helped to pay for a pump when he was originally prescribed one, our needs had changed and we needed something much more portable and easy to use both for myself and Ethan. I did a lot of research. I looked through website after website, “spoke” to many parents on message boards about preferences for portable feeding pumps, experiences with use, the good and the bad. The name that came up time and time again as the best was ZEVEX, specifically the Infinity.

Well, we got our Infinity and super mini backpack about 1½ months ago [June 2005] and I couldn't be happier…. it is fabulous!!!!!! I truly believe it to be the best product available for a child like my son; mobile and active. I am so glad I went with my gut, trusted those who already have and use it, and made the purchase.

With this pump Ethan has much more freedom, no longer restricted to a couch or bed because of a pump attached to an IV pole. He can move around and we can go out! The zoo, the park, grocery shopping, his grandparent’s cottage in the middle of the afternoon. Nothing is out of bounds anymore. Next year he will be able to attend his senior kindergarten year on a full time basis because there is no big pump to worry about getting in the way, interfering with his ability to participate, nor the workings of the class. The students will hardly notice it. He will be like everyone else. It is fantastic. I can only hope more people get to experience this wonderful product.

Thank you for giving my son back the life he deserves to have, fully and completely!!!

Sincerely

Karen W.
