Enteral Feeding Pump User Spotlight

I would like to introduce to you our son Machaiah. Machaiah is currently 3 years old. In December of 2004 he underwent surgery to help with his severe reflux. Unfortunately he suffered from a complication that has caused his GI tract to not function properly.

Due to his progressively worsening motility, Machaiah has become dependant on a g-tube for his nutrition. Machaiah is required to be on a feeding pump for 16 hours per day; 6 of those hours while he is awake. Machaiah is a very active little boy who is also autistic and couldn't tolerate even seeing the tubing let alone the g-j tube. So, we began the hunt for a pump that was truly portable and kid friendly. The name that kept being mentioned was ZEVEX. We initially were going to get the EnteraLite but then read about the Infinity. We were SOLD!

Could it possibly be? A pump that is small enough for a little 3 year old to carry, easy enough for everyone to learn to use, even those of us without an engineering degree, and one that is washable under running water!?!? We contacted our local ZEVEX rep since we couldn't locate the Infinity in our area. He was tremendously helpful! He very quickly made time to inservice the folks at our homecare agency and even provided us with a much sought after super-mini backpack.

ZEVEX's customer service is outstanding!!! They answer any questions you may have and take seriously any problems you experience. Thanks to ZEVEX, Machaiah can participate in the activities that all little boys like. The Infinity allows him to just be a little boy.

Sincerely,
John and Tracey S.
