Stationary Pump Alarm Causes and Symptoms

Possible Causes

Solutions

LOW BAT

Battery charge is below performance level.

Plug cord into AC outlet.

OCC/EMP

Roller Clamp is closed (if applicable).

Open Roller Clamp (if applicable).

Container is empty.

Replace or refill.

Occlusion is restricting flow.

Correct occlusion.

Drip Chamber not properly placed in pump; drops not being sensed.

Reposition properly.

Pump is on STOP more than 2-1/2 minutes.

Press RUN/STOP/ PRIME* to resume feeding, or turn pump off.

DOSE COMP

Pump has delivered selected dose.

Change dose limit, if desired. Press RUN/STOP/ PRIME*. Pump will run until new dose is completed again.

-or-

Press OFF. Feeding completed.

FrE FLO

Pump set is dislodged. Tubing off Rotor.

Close Roller Clamp (if applicable). Check set placement on Rotor. Open Roller Clamp (if applicable) and restart pump.

Drop sensor blocked due to formula on Drip Chamber walls.

Replace disposable set.

Drop sensor blocked due to overfilled Drip Chamber.

Close Roller Clamp (if applicable). Disconnect disposable set from patient's feeding tube. Remove disposable set from pump, open Roller Clamp (if applicable) and invert bag. Close Roller Clamp (if applicable). Perform manual priming procedure to allow air into tubing so Drip Chamber will drain. Once Drip Chamber is empty, hang bag upright and re-prime set to remove the air that was just re-introduced into the line. Reload disposable set and open Roller Clamp (if applicable).

Drop sensors need cleaning.

Clean Drop Sensor Area with cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alchohol.

RATE CHANGE

MORE, LESS, CLEAR or VOLUCHECK™ will only work when pump has stopped.

Press RUN/STOP/ PRIME* once. Check accumulated volume or change rate, as desired. Press RUN/STOP/ PRIME* again to restart.
